    • supplying proof of registration.

  1. What is the processing based on?

  1. What is the purpose of data processing?

The data processing has the following purposes:

  • Animal identification,
  • To supply proof of identification and registration,
  • To notify the animal's keeper in case of a keeper change request,
  • To search for their keeper efficiently,
  • Efficient monitoring of the regulations in force and the animal trade and animal movements,
  • To compile statistics.

The table below contains the following information for each category of persons concerned:

  • Who has access to the data,
  • What data is accessible,
  • The purposes of the processing,
  • The basis on which access is authorised.

  1. How long is the data kept?

The data is kept until the dog's death. If no notification of death is received, the data will be deleted automatically 30 years after the initial registration. Data concerning previous keepers is also kept until the file is closed.

  1. What protective measures are applied?

Management of the identification platform is subcontracted to ZETES via a concession common to the three regions. This contract includes a special subcontracting agreement that complies with the requirements of Article 28 of the GDPR.

  1. How do I exercise my rights?
